So the battle for 2nd is still pretty close, if Vettel weren't racing it would'be been another close championship.
Here's how it stands at the moment
Fernando Alonso 172 Points, 1 Win Jenson Button 167 Points, 2 Wins Mark Webber 167 Points, 0 Wins Lewis Hamilton 158 Points, 2 Wins
so who will take the runner up spot?

Its a tough question. But based on the last few races Jenson looks like he wants it more. Alonso seems to be resigned that he can't do anything, Mark and Lewis are trying to hard and making too many mistakes. Or else they are trying harder to stay on the road and not crash. Jenson has found that little something, I can see him stealing another win or two from Vettel. He just has that added confidence. Though I would like to see all of them other then Hamilton in 2nd .

I reckon it'll be Alonso. He's experienced, and works hard. He consistently delivers, whereas Hamilton makes mistakes, and Button doesnt seem to do well unless he qualifies in a lower position and has a challenge to look forward to!
Although Red Bull has had the fastest car all season, I cant help but feel it will be a travesty if Webber claims 2nd, considering he hasnt won a race and has had a very inconsistent season.

I can't make my mind up between Fernando and Jenson.
Fernando is good at keep his advantage, and Jenson wants it you can see that. I'm not going to pick on the poll just yet!
But I do agree totally with Kelli that even though I personally support Webber in a way I wouldn't want to see him in 2nd. He's struggled all year, doesn't have the best mind set going into the races is the only one not to win a race. I mean the Ferrari has probably been the weakest car out of the 3 all season yet Alonso has at least won once. It would be nice if he starts being consistant at the end of the season but I do really think he needs a kick up his backside!

That is hard.
I went with Jenson. Everyone has said what I feel. It will be Fernando or Jenson. I just get the feeling of giving up a little with Alonso, he made the big push this weekend because it was Monza, he'll give his best for the rest of the season but other then Singapore which he really likes I think he might back up a bit. Jenson is going very strong and I just feel he's up for it. Out of all of them Jenson and Mark have the most to prove, Mark is just getting angry but Jenson is driving better by the day.
Though it will be interesting to see how things pan out. Its an interesting battle!

I vote for Fernando because I have belief that he will hold on to his lead.
But I have a feeling it will be Jenson for the reason's people say. He is growing in confidence whereas Fernando is coming out talking about next year.
