Because... Well it is kind of needed right now with him about to start getting better. Its coming to the decision time for 2012 with him so I thought it best we give him a thread.
Mainly because this piece needed posting and there was nowhere to post it.
Kubica set for driving return in October
In a simulator or a road car
Friday 9 September 2011 - 19h40, by GMM Robert Kubica could be back at the wheel in the next month.
The injured Pole’s manager Daniele Morelli told reporters at Monza that he no longer has "any concerns" about Kubica’s recovery in the wake of his latest surgery.
"It’s good news," added the Italian. "The nerves must complete their recovery. But it’s just a question of time."
Morelli said that in October "we think he can put on a helmet to give a message on what he can do".
He added that Kubica, seriously injured in a February rally crash, will likely give that message "in a simulator or a road car".
And "Renault have given us assurances that there is a (F1) seat (on reserve) for Robert."

Robert Kubica has revealed that his recovery is well on track but is adamant that he will not rush his comeback to the cockpit which he believes Renault are keeping open for his return.
In light of recent reports that he is due to test in a simulator next month, AS.com reports Kubica saying, “We’ll see how my rehabilitation progresses over the coming months. I am satisfied with what is happening so far, there are no complications. There is no hurry. The important thing is that Renault keep my job.”
Earlier this month, Kubica’s manager Daniel Morelli announced, “In October we think Robert will be able to put a helmet on his head which will put out a real message of intent. Hopefully Robert will then have a chance to drive. This could be in a road car or a simulator.”
In August during the Belgian GP weekend, Renault boss Eric Boullier stated, “Robert has another surgery to go through so we have to wait now until he’s fully recovered. I know this is the last one and then he will be starting, finally, the full rehabilitation.” Robert Kubica (POL) Renault R30.

However latest reports appear contradict the Frenchman’s prediction, as all indications are that the Pole is set to have another operation on his elbow.
Meanwhile Boullier indicated last week to Globo Esporte that he wants to finalise his 2012 driver line-up in the next month or so, “I will be flexible because I really like Robert and it will be good for him to return. But in the middle or end of October I need a clear confirmation.”
“My problem is that I cannot miss the opportunity to have Robert back, but at the same time I need to defend the interests of my team. I need to have the best driver lineup I can have, or the best I can afford,” added Boullier.

I've read this article about 3 times and am still confused.
Am I right in thinking that as far as Roberts team are concerned Renault are keeping his seat for him?
And as far as Boullier goes anything can happen.
To be honest, just a tiny bit, it feels like Boullier doesn't care about his drivers at all. OK very few team principals do, but then again they don't usually pretend to much either.
Whatever, I'm starting to feel like we won't see Robert return to F1 in 2012.

Doctor says Kubica will return to F1
He should be ready "between the months of November and January"
Wednesday 28 September 2011 - 10h42, by GMM Robert Kubica is going to return to formula one in 2012, according to F1 doctor Riccardo Ceccarelli.
And the same message has emerged this week from the Pole’s manager Daniele Morelli, after Renault boss Eric Boullier imposed a mid October deadline for the finalisation of the team’s 2012 lineup.
"If you keep delaying, delaying, delaying, you end up risking the interests of the team," Boullier is quoted as saying last weekend by Globo Esporte. "That is why we have to have the deadline."
But Morelli has told Italy’s Omnicorse this week: "We are not able to predict a precise date (for Kubica’s return) because it is nature taking its course."
"But we are optimistic, very optimistic, and I do not think a delay of a couple of weeks can affect the plans."
"One thing is certain — he is coming back. The only problem now is muscular."
Dr Ceccarelli, who is heading the 26-year-old’s rehabilitation phase, confirmed: "I would say with certainty that Robert will be a F1 driver in 2012."
"I can not say when he will be ready but it will be between the months of November and January."
He said the earlier problems with Kubica’s right hand have now been overcome.
"Yes, it’s great, even if this healing is gradual. Not forgetting that Robert suffered injuries to two of the three nerves, and had severs of the tendons and muscles, the feeling has come back to the fingertips," said Ceccarelli.
The truth at present, however, is that Kubica is not yet ready to return to a single seater, nor even drive a road car.
"It is true, Robert still has an external fixator on his leg and we have not rushed to remove it — the longer the better, and the better result. So as we wait for the healing of the hand and the elbow, there is still no hurry," said Ceccarelli.
He added that when the fixator is removed, Kubica can get to work.
"The muscles have been inactive for months and so need to recover tone and strength. But the big question - if he can drive in formula one again - has gone."

It is a difficult situation for them all to be fair. Renault have their money interests to weigh up (did I say money I mean drivers ) and its true that the longer Robert rests the faster he'll come back. Working too hard to come back too fast damages you more then resting till it feels right. Problem with most wrestlers always pushing to get back on TV in the shortest time possible, get back in the ring too fast and injure themselves more.

Kubica still in running for Renault race seat
"I have to give him a chance"
Monday 17 October 2011 - 14h30, by GMM Robert Kubica is still in the running to return to formula one with Renault in 2012.
Originally, team boss Eric Boullier imposed a rigid mid-October deadline for the injured Pole to let him know if he will be able to race next season.
That deadline has now passed, but Frenchman Boullier admitted in Korea that he has agreed to wait a little longer.
The new deadline is the "end of October", he is quoted by Germany’s motorsport-total.com, "and maybe even longer."
It seems the deadline is a moving target.
"It also seems that way to me," smiled Boullier, "but if Robert can go back to formula one, then I want him to drive for us. So I have to give him a chance."
"We will be flexible to the point where we cannot."
Boullier does not deny that a time will eventually come when he has to overlook Kubica for the good of the team.
"No, no, I will not act against the interests of the team," he insisted. "If I see that something is going wrong with next year’s driver lineup, we must make a decision."
Vitaly Petrov, Bruno Senna, Romain Grosjean, Rubens Barrichello and others are reportedly also all in the running to race for the team in 2012.
Boullier said in Japan recently that he intended to call Kubica in the next few days.
"I spoke with (his manager) Daniele Morelli," he revealed. "They are very confident that Robert will return, which is good to hear."
Boullier said the 26-year-old is in the midst of his rehabilitation process but could be ready to sit in a driver simulator "perhaps within a month".

Kubica set for new wrist operation
"Unfortunately we need to keep the option of not having him back"
Friday 4 November 2011 - 08h35, by GMM The likelihood of an early 2012 return to the Lotus (currently Renault) team for Robert Kubica appears to have receded even further.
The Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Thursday that the Polish driver, who has already undergone five operations since his February rally crash, is scheduled to have more surgery in the coming days.
The next operation will be on his right wrist and will surely intensify speculation that team boss Eric Boullier has already decided to pair Vitaly Petrov with the new GP2 champion Romain Grosjean next season.
Kubica’s hand surgeon Igor Rossello suggested that the new surgery is relatively minor.
"The mobility of Kubica’s right hand is satisfactory," he said. "Robert has told me that he has already driven a car. This a miracle of his will."
But the report said Kubica is still months from the end of his rehabilitation process.
British tabloid The Sun quoted Renault/Lotus boss Boullier as saying: "We have to assess options and are still waiting for Robert to come back to us to say he can test.
"Until we see him and have the confirmation we cannot say anything. And unfortunately we need to keep the option of not having him back," he added.

Yeah that looks like we won't see Robert in a car in 2012. Shame, was hoping he'd come back but I have that horrible feeling that he won't be coming back .

Kubica is set to miss the beginning of the 2012 season. Renault announced it this morning but as I'm on my iPhone can't be bothered to copy and Paste.
