Still don't see the point in Hulk oh well. To be honest though anything will be better then Sutil, he's had some decent looking results, had some decent results taken from him but the team has been stale. Adrian hasn't DONE anything for a few seasons now so a change is a change, but I will spend the whole of 2012 moaning about Hulk .

Mercedes & Rosberg agree contract extension
"I am very excited to have extended my contract"
Thursday 10 November 2011 - 07h39, by Olivier Ferret MERCEDES GP PETRONAS confirmed that the team and Nico Rosberg have agreed a multi-year contract extension to include the 2013 season and beyond.
Since joining MERCEDES GP PETRONAS for the 2010 season, Nico has achieved three podiums, scored 217 points and demonstrated that he belongs to the top group of drivers currently racing in Formula One.
Nico Rosberg said: “I am very excited to have extended my contract with the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS team. To win in a Silver Arrow will be one of the highlights of my life so far, and I greatly enjoy helping to lead our team in our quest to become the best in Formula One. I have every confidence that the team will provide me with a winning car, and that we will be able to contribute to the fantastic racing heritage of the Silver Arrows. I look forward to great times in the years ahead with the Mercedes-Benz family.”
Ross Brawn, Team Principal, MERCEDES GP PETRONAS commented: “We are delighted to have extended our contract with Nico as we know that he is a driver who can win races and championships. Nico has performed exceptionally well for our Silver Arrows team over the past two seasons, achieving results at the very limit of the technical capabilities of our current car. He has an excellent work ethic and, together with Michael, this gives us a driver pairing who consistently push the team to improve and progress. As we continue to strengthen our team for the future, we look forward to providing Nico with a car which will enable him to compete right at the front of the field and achieve his deserved first win in Formula One.”
Norbert Haug, Vice-President of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport said: “Nico and MERCEDES GP PETRONAS have the same targets, he loves to work with our team and we are fully committed to a long and successful future together. I very much appreciate Nico´s total dedication and his precision. He is certainly one of the quickest, most talented and most consistent drivers in the field, and his level of professionalism is second to none. We will work very hard to improve our technical package, in order to give our drivers the car to deliver the results they deserve. In Michael, Nico has the most successful racing driver in the history of the sport as his team-mate, which is a perfect combination for him as well as for our team. We all rate Nico very highly and we are looking forward to a long co-operation full of hard work, which will deliver great success for Nico and MERCEDES GP PETRONAS.”
For 2012, MERCEDES GP PETRONAS will enjoy stability in its driver line-up for a third consecutive season, with Nico driving alongside compatriot Michael Schumacher.

D’Ambrosio looks around but no Virgin decision yet
"The final decision on Timo Glock’s teammate is not done yet"
Thursday 10 November 2011 - 09h40, by GMM Virgin has refused to confirm reports it has already decided to replace Jerome d’Ambrosio with French rookie Charles Pic in 2012.
The French sports daily L’Equipe reported on Wednesday that 21-year-old Pic, fourth in GP2 this year and backed by the Lagardere group, will be Timo Glock’s new teammate.
It is believed Pic will test for Virgin, to become Marussia next season, at the forthcoming young drivers’ test in Abu Dhabi.
"We expect after the testing of young drivers and after the end of the season to make our (2012 driver lineup) decision with a public statement," a team spokesperson told the Belgian news agency Belga.
"The final decision on Timo Glock’s teammate is not done yet," the official added.
The French sports.fr portal, meanwhile, quoted Pic’s agent as insisting that the youngster has not yet signed up with any team for 2012.
The report said Pic, who has definitely travelled to Abu Dhabi, could also test with Team Lotus/Caterham at Yas Marina.
D’Ambrosio’s manager Benjamin Mignot, overseeing the Belgian’s career for the Gravity group, insisted all is not lost for the 25-year-old.
"I’m not going to tell you that we are looking at being at Ferrari instead of Massa," he joked to Le Soir newspaper. "But we know that Barrichello is still not confirmed at Williams and there are also seats available at HRT and also Virgin.
"Clearly we are not willing to have any seat at any price, but we believe firmly that Jerome has a place in F1 in 2012," added Mignot.

Force India to decide 2012 lineup before Brazil
"We don’t know yet"
Thursday 10 November 2011 - 14h26, by GMM Nico Hulkenberg on Thursday confirmed rumours his Force India colleagues have been asked to wait longer on the team’s decision about 2012.
Boss Vijay Mallya hinted this week that, despite scheduling an earlier Abu Dhabi decision about next year’s lineup, he is yet to decide which driver out of Hulkenberg, Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta will be left in the cold.
Speculation remains rife, however, that Scot di Resta will be paired alongside German Hulkenberg.
"We don’t know," Hulkenberg, 24, is quoted by the SID news agency as saying in Abu Dhabi. "The latest news is (the decision will be made) between the races."
He is referring to the forthcoming two week break between this weekend’s Abu Dhabi round and the season ending Brazilian grand prix.
According to the paddock grapevine, Hulkenberg’s countryman Sutil needs to be looking hard for another job.
He said on Thursday: "I am 100 per cent confident that next year I will be in F1. It’s not right (to say) that Force India will decide my future."
Sutil would not comment on his reported links with Williams, saying only: "I am assuming that my future will be clarified soon."

Renault set to begin 2012 season without Kubica
"I will try to bring him back but I can do no more"
Tuesday 15 November 2011 - 08h49, by GMM It is more and more likely that Renault, to be called Lotus next year, will kick off the 2012 season without Robert Kubica.
Team boss Eric Boullier admitted in Abu Dhabi that he is concerned that some weeks after the initial October deadline, the communication from the injured Pole’s camp has been poor.
The obvious implication is that Renault fears he is not ready to return to formula one.
"I am patient because I am committed morally to him, he was very important to us," Frenchman Boullier is quoted by autohebdo.fr.
"If we find ourselves in a situation for him to come back, even in the middle of the year, I will try to bring him back but I can do no more," he said.
"If he speaks to no one then what can I say?" he added. "October was a key moment for him but unfortunately I don’t think he is ready yet."
Renault’s contract with Kubica, 26, expires after Christmas.
"What we know already is that Robert cannot commit to a deadline, so we must keep an ongoing communication plan," Boullier is quoted as saying by Spain’s AS newspaper.
"Obviously we want him back, so it may be during the (2012) season, why not?"

It makes you wonder why Robert isn't talking to the team, maybe he actually wants out of Renault? Its unusual that he wouldn't get in touch with the team you'd think the team and his management would be in constant talks, I mean Ferrari came across as talking to Felipe every day to see how he was getting on, Renault and Robert just look like neither care about each other.

It is, I've been on Roberts side the whole time but if he isn't making the effort to tell Renault at the least whats happening no wonder they are getting upset! I mean if all Renault have to go by is the 100 different reports we've been hearing it isn't fair.
And its sounding more and more likely that Custard is out for next year and Pic is in. Feel bad for Custard and can't help but think some consistency in the second seat would help Virgin.

OK I might be behind because I didn't pay enough attention to GP2.... But what is so important about Pic? Custards done a good job . I think its more likely to see Kimi on the grid rather than Robert.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm I dunno he's not even cute ;D . I am surprised that Custard is going but I was surprised that Lucas went too. I doubt it has much to do with sponsors this time because I was under the impression that Custard had a lot of sponsors and I'm not too sure that Pic would have that much more. I love Custard but it looks like Virgin are just gonna keep swapping second drivers. Ha! It really has been a strange year starting with Roberts accident and ending the way it has with the MotoGP. Its really quite sad. I had that feeling it was going to Roberts time but I don't see him coming back into F1 if he doesn't come back next season, I mean everyone knew how good he was but look at how highly some of the people at the tests today are thought of. If he's not fully fit and comes back for 2012 he'll be a what if story. Ohhh and for some reason there have been rumors that Jarno's contract isn't to actually RACE next season but it looks like he will be. I just thought I'd write it here .

Red Bull to place Vergne at Lotus in 2012 - report
"Red Bull could park one of their juniors Ricciardo and Vergne at Lotus"
Thursday 24 November 2011 - 09h50, by GMM Red Bull’s Dr Helmut Marko could switch the driver agreement with HRT to the Lotus/Caterham team for 2012, according to German magazine Auto Motor und Sport.
In the second half of this season, the energy drink company has paid for Daniel Ricciardo to make his grand prix debut with the Spanish team HRT.
But the manager of the programme, Marko, revealed recently that he is not sure if the deal will be extended for 2012.
It is believed Australian Ricciardo will be moved to Toro Rosso for 2012, probably to replace Sebastien Buemi.
The next Red Bull-backed hopeful is Jean-Eric Vergne, who is now tipped to step into the role occupied by Ricciardo this year.
But, given HRT’s signing of Pedro de la Rosa and the fact the other seat will almost certainly go to the highest bidder, Frenchman Vergne is believed unlikely to succeed Ricciardo at the struggling Spanish team.
"Red Bull could park one of their juniors Ricciardo and Vergne at Lotus (Caterham)," said Auto Motor und Sport.
Officially, Caterham’s 2012 lineup is locked out, with Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen under contract.
But less than two weeks ago, veteran Trulli’s manager Lucio Cavuto was moved to deny reports the Italian’s 2012 seat was in danger due to "Red Bull dollars".
"One thing is clear," said Auto Motor und Sport. "Red Bull will give the Frenchman (Vergne) a cockpit next year."
Lotus/Caterham will use Red Bull’s gearbox, hydraulics and KERS systems in 2012.
