Shall we talk about Karun and his heartbreak? ;D

Is it ever a good thing to talk to me about Karun?
I don't like the tone of some of his tweets. He went from being quite a funny guy to very annoying and too much like Ant Davidson in one season. But this whole out pouring of sadness about him not getting a seat is disrespectful to the two drivers Lotus DO have. I never remembered a contract being produced showing that Karun was 100% driving in India. Karun drove instead of Jarno in Germany and was lapped by his teammate. Lotus then resigned Jarno, and he would be fully in his right to say "I sat out last time I won't this time" which then would leave Lotus having to replace their faster more consistent driver.
Lets not forget Karun had problems with his sponsors last year, he wasn't THAT good. OK it was a HRT but he was only consistent because he was always too slow for the HRT to break down. What is the actual benefit of racing him for Lotus?
Yes ok he's a nice guy but as I keep saying if Karun gets to race at home for being a "nice guy" so then Fisichella will be in a Ferrari at Monza, Paffett in a McLaren at Silverstone and it will go on and on. Whatever Karun is doing he's doing as a member of the Lotus team, just because he's done a lot of work towards this GP doesn't give him a god given right to drive there. And sometimes I feel that Jarno is an easy target to pick on because he isn't interactive like Karun. Ok Jarno isn't the greatest, he's slow and he wasn't the best when he was at his peak. But Jarno hasn't done anything wrong and he's had one problem with his car and has worked on it. All these reporters who are lamenting the fact Karun isn't in a car... Why would it be fair if someone got booted out just so a nice guy they work with got to drive?

But the moment he was announced to work with Lotus it was said he'd drive in India, so surely he's been told he's going to drive there. Maybe that is whats wrong? He's told all his "friends" (and I'm someone who thinks he's a kiss ass) and now everyone feels sorry for him.
I get the feeling he's like that puppy that follows you about with the eyeballing look and now he looks like he's been kicked in the face they feel bad.
I agree with you in general but just saying that might be why they are all upset about it? Which is his own fault because contracts are made to be broken in F1.

Ok I can see that point. Still he got to race in Germany. India was right at the end of the championship and yes it might not be the biggest thing in the world to us but position in the constructors championship is important to the teams and for non-point scoring teams average finishes is important. Lets say he did have it in his contract. They put him into a FP1 session. First thing he does is crash. Money wasted right there. He does a few more FP1 sessions. He then gets to do a whole GP weekend. He gets lapped by Heikki. He was dead last. Sure Lotus didn't have their best weekend that weekend but what has he done to show that he deserve that seat. With all the big hoo-ha about pay drivers Karun is the personification of one. He was buying a seat, he was a gimmick that would have been nice. But Lotus is the top of the nu-teams and they need consistency and they've got that. I'm sorry but yes you might be right, he might have had something in private with the people in charge and everyone backstage who he talks to was "in the know" and now they are all upset because they knew it would happen and now it isn't. But these are the same people who in the same breath would demand Vitalys head or Pastors head for being a pay driver. At least it is their seats, they might have brought them but its a full time commitment and they've done alright with it. This was Karun buying a seat for ONE GP and with no real upside for the team. But, as I know Kelli is a fan, I wouldn't say no to him getting himself a racing seat and proving himself. I'm not saying because I dislike him he shouldn't be in F1 . Just he hasn't done enough within the actual team itself to deserve this place he thinks he deserves.

I think America can do a good job at building tracks and they have the love for F1. Really looking forward to seeing that track.
And I think DC is right too many of the new tracks don't think about the track, mainly because Bernie doesn't really care about the track himself anymore. If you have lovely places for his VIPs to be all weekend then he'll be happy.

I love Jenson they should just have Jenson doing everything. Jenson is so much better than EJ. I love Jenson.

Well they have changed their tune there haven't they? Most of the time they are talking about how brilliant Valencia/Korea/Abu Dhabi are now they haven't paid enough attention to the tracks and too much on the facilities .

Why do the BBC keep asking Mr Bean about Lewis? Surely the BBC know more about Lewis then Rowan?

Every time they show that clip of Marco it brings a happy tear to my eye really feels unreal that he's gone but it kind of is starting to sink in now.

This time around I agree with EJ. Lewis needs his dad at this moment, as much as a control freak and as annoying as his agenda was he kept Lewis on the ground. Nice tribute to Dan and Simo .

I like it "Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli" are trending on twitter. I know twitter trends aren't that amazing but I just like having their names up there being remembered.

It was actually quite pretty seeing the cars kind of just spin around at the back of the grid. Rubens was best purely because it looked so amazing that he didn't hit more cars!
