Right it is that time when you get another random poll from me. This time the question that everyone keeps asking so I thought I'd ask it too ;D . Should Schumi still be racing? OK fair enough just because he hasn't won doesn't equate a ruined come back like some think, but on the other hand has he done enough to keep his seat or is he keeping his seat because of who he is? Told you I'd come back with random polls .

What is right for him? For F1? For his reputation?
I think he needs to be judged the same as anyone, you can't say just because he was a world champion it has to be OBVIOUS there is something wrong with the car, because it doesn't work like that. Compared to his team mate he had a rookie like first season but he's got better this season. But he isn't a rookie. Its hard. I mean yes it was right for him because it was what he wanted but he retired too soon then if he couldn't fill that hole with other outside activities. Was it right for F1 or his reputation? We'll see when he leaves again.
I'm voting .... No because I asked Catherine and she said no. To be fair she had the point that he retired at the top to be remembered for his career, and he's come back and he's not that awesome but that isn't all his fault but he'll be remembered by the looks of things in the short term for his coming back and not his championships. He's being constantly compared to his championship years and some people are making excuses for his return with well he won all those championships but to be fair has he done enough to really deserve the seat?

Nope don't think he should have come back.
It was obviously the right decision for him to make if he wanted to come back to come back, but it was the wrong decision for the team. I don't think he's added much to them yet they've gone from an OK-ish team getting half decent results with Nico to Renaults standard. Right now its the wrong decision, if suddenly the car gets a lot better maybe it was an alright decision but right now I don't see Schumi actually adding that much. Which is strange because usually his input would be immeasurable. I just don't see his worth right at this second.

I dont think, for the sake of his reputation, he should have come back.
People will always have their opinions on some of the darker sides of his racing days, but ultimately he was always going to be remembered as a "great". Now he's just always going to be remembered as the guy who made a comeback, but was never as good as he used to be.
I think he would have been invaluable as some sort of advisor to the team, as he has a great knowledge of formula One, reading data and all sorts.
